Rally to Lymington Town Quay  5/6  September 

Weather looking great, sunny and settled.  Nine boats left ECSC and headed towards Lymington town Quay. Most staying the night, one staying a week and one on short stay for 4 hours (Mike and Tony in Kaikoura)

Barry in Baz1, Shaun in Get Reel, Tim in Norm, Mike and Tony in Kaikoura, Tom and Julia in Who jota, Paul in Monty D, Graham and Maria in his boat, Ivan and partner in Tarim and Richard in Puffin.

On arriving at Lymington, which took about two hours for most, people explored the market or met up with friends or went to the Ship Inn on the Quay.  I believe Tim ad Shaun indulged in a BBQ on Shaun’s boat.

Since me and Tony were only in Lymington for four hours we went to the ship in and had a drink and lunch, we were joined by Barry and Richard. Following that we went to the market and managed to buy some cakes going cheaper, On the way back we met two police women who asked to id a missing lady they were looking for.

Me and Tony left at 4pm, after having to raft against two other boats. We arrived safely at East Cowes about 6pm after Tony had taken the helm for 30 minutes,

Not sure what the others did but attached are some pictures, including dinner in the Kings Head, which started off with a table for 8 and ended up at 11, so a bit cosy! Apparently, the fish and chips were not up to standard.

I believe also that Barry did some fishing on the way back
